Propellor

Hours spent on propellor: 4

October 21, 2009 - 1h

Had some help of Sean and Scott today to get the box from the truck and the propellor in the shop. For now it is under the plane, but I'll probably store it on the attic until the plane is far enough along for the prop to be bolted on. Here are some pics including the brush block that gets mounted on the engine and the prop controller that gets mounted in the panel.

October 20, 2009 - 3h

I picked up the propeller in Spring City, PA at the terminal of Vitran Express who carried the prop to the North-East. The box barely fitted in the bed of my truck, but I managed to get home with it. Here are some pics of the event.

Prop has been picked up in Denver and will arrive at the shippers' terminal on Monday the 19th. I'll go and pick it up from there!

September 18, 2009

Mike is ready to ship the prop to Delaware. He's crated the thing real nice. I'll send him the check tomorrow and hopefully we can have it shipped by the end of next week.

August 28, 2009

I've decided to buy a 3-blade MTV-7-C/183-51 constant-speed propellor with 112 hrs on it from Mike Casey in Colorado. I've send Mike a deposit check so he can start building a shipping crate. I'll send him the rest of the amount we agreed on when he's ready to ship. This will basically save me $4k on a new prop and on the pictures he send me the prop looks to be in a real good shape.
